I work with refugee families on the East Coast. The ministry includes helping meet everyday needs of the community, as well as connecting them to resources they may need whether it be legal services, transportation, translation services, etc. My team and I also spend time visiting the families in the community to build trust and friendships with them. I also serve as a part-time social worker under the non-profit which my team coordinates with. Through all of these things, I get to have conversations with the families about their faith and share with them about my faith.
